Debra Beagle Debra Beagle

Debra Beagle– scrapbooker, television host, author, lecturer, convention promoter, mother and now, creative director of her own product line.

Long before Debra began scrapbooking, she had a love for lettering, paper crafts, art, and calligraphy, which was encouraged by her grandmother. After having her second child in 1998, the creative scrapbooking bug bit her and she incorporated her loves into scrapbooking.

She has taught classes on every aspect of scrapbooking at scrapbook conventions across the country like the Michigan Mega Meet, Creating Keepsake University, Camp Memory Makers, and the Simply Scrapbook & Stamp Convention in Nashville, TN, of which she is an owner. And at trade shows like HIA and ACCI. On the national level, she has been a designer/instructor for Marvy-Uchida and Arnold Grummer Papermaking, and has been designated a Certified Professional Demonstrator (CPD) by HIA.

Debra has been a layout contest winner for PaperKuts magazine, and a writer and designer for Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbook Etc. magazine. She is a frequent contributor in Memory Makers magazine and Memory Makers idea books. Debra has also been featured as a lettering artist in the Memory Makers Lettering book. She has appeared on several scrapbooking episodes for the Do It Yourself (DIY) network on creative lettering, calligraphy, papermaking, creative titles and matting. Debra has also made appearances on local radio and television shows promoting scrapbooking, and is the host of Debra Beagle’s World of Scrapbooking television show.

Now Debra brings women her most personal project to date, her first book Hand Lettering Made Easy (EFG Publishing), which was released in May 2004, along with the Hand Lettering Made Easy product collection. Developed for those who would like to learn how to do creative lettering, calligraphy, and improve their handwriting. Debra’s Hand Lettering Made Easy collection serves as a system to meet virtually every lettering need.

Debra's passion and enthusiasm for scrapbooking is contagious and her extensive knowledge delivers a credible source of information that captures the interest and imagination of all levels of scrapbookers. Debra is also passionate about, and proud of, her Spanish heritage and the fact that she is bilingual. With her ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently, she hopes to bring archival scrapbooking to the Spanish world and considers this one of her lifetime goals.

Debra and her husband Bob reside in Columbia, South Carolina with their two children, Stephanie and Michael.
